Our immediate vicinity includes the Chihauhuan Desert,
the magnificent Organ Mountains and the Rio Grande River.
Most air travel is through the El Paso International Airport, less
than one hour south of Las Cruces. The City of Las Cruces is located
at the intersection of Interstates 10 (east-west) and 25 (north-south)
in southern New Mexico.
To get to Mesilla from El Paso, stay on Interstate 10 north and
turn off on Exit 140 to Avenida de Mesilla. At the bottom of the
ramp, turn left, go about half a mile and then turn left again at
the 1st National Bank on Calle de Alvarez. The street will curve
to the right and take you directly to Avenida de Mercado and the
Preston Contemporary Art Center. If you miss Calle de Alvarez, the
next left onto Calle de Mercado will also take you to the Center.
The entrance and parking are located in the rear.
If you are driving from the north, follow Interstate 25 until it
ends. Turn right on the ramp to Interstate 10 - west to Deming.
Follow I-10 until Exit 140. |
